Maggie replies to ... Frequently Asked Questions
How would you describe your style of wedding photography?
Informal, relaxed, spontaneous ... and always professional.
Who will be our photographer on the day?
Myself and one of my assistants, all of whom are experienced
photographers. This ensures we are able to take lots of candid shots as
well as the ones you have specifically asked to be taken.
How long do you spend with us on the day?
We are there to photograph the wedding preparations before
the ceremony, which can include getting ready shots until you sit down
for your Wedding Breakfast or buffet meal. If the speeches are given before
the meal, we will stay on until they are finished. If you would like me
to stay on through your meal to photograph your first dance, then there
is an additional fee.
When do we discuss our ideas for our photography?
When we first meet, one of the main topics will be the type
of photography you are looking for. At our second meeting we will talk
in more detail about your ideas and I will ask you to supply a list of
group shots and any other specific shots you would like taken on the day.
Do you check out the venue beforehand?
Yes I will meet you
about a month before the wedding, where the Ceremony is being held and
at the Reception venue if that is a separate location. It gives me a chance
to catch up with your final arrangements and to check out the venue so
that nothing is left to chance.
Will ours be the only wedding you photograph on the day?
Yes!
Can we have some photographs in black & white?
Yes, we shoot everything on digital cameras so any images can
be changed to black and white or sepia for your final prints.
What happens if you are ill?
In the unusual event of illness I have a network of colleagues
who are professional wedding photographers who I can call on.
What if we would like to purchase high resolution, printable pictures?
A DVD can be purchased of your preview images as high resolution
JPEGs; these are enhanced images and colour corrected. The cost of the
DVD is £175.
What qualifications do you have and are you a member of a professional association?
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Photography. I am an Associate
Member of both The British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP)
and The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).
Do you have insurance cover?
Yes, both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
Do you have references that you would happy to supply us?
Yes! Lots of them! I'm very happy to put you in touch with any of my wedding couples.
Can you send me a brochure and more information?
Yes certainly. Either e-mail or telephone Maggie Booth Photography
and we will be happy to send you our information pack which includes prices
of all the Collections.
