Maggie is a creative wedding photographer based near Stroud in Gloucestershire. She photographs weddings throughout the Cotswolds, also in South Wales, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Warwickshire and the South West. "I love photographing weddings and irrespective of the number I photograph each year, I'm always thrilled by the wonderful reviews I receive.
As an experienced wedding photographer with a passion for taking candid shots, I capture many of my images by working unobtrusively. All my assistants are trained to work this way too, which is why so many of our couples are amazed at the range of pictures we have taken during the day.
Of course we are asked to take group shots and I happily do so but with the minimum of fuss as I believe the bride and groom should have as much time as possible to mingle with their guests. It’s a good opportunity for my assistant and I to take some great candid shots.
One of my favourite parts of the day is when I’m photographing the bride and groom on their own. Often the couple will say how wonderful it is to have a few minutes peace away from everyone. Okay, I am with them taking pictures but quite often I leave the couple to lose themselves in one another so they (almost) forget I’m there!
It’s usual to say in this section a little about myself so … for several years I was a professional fundraiser having worked for three major charities. My passion for photography tempted me give up my career to study professional media at University and I’ve never regretted making this huge leap. Since leaving Uni six years ago with a degree in Photography and establishing my own business, I have photographed scores of weddings. The level of professionalism I display and the standard of my images is widely acknowledged and I am proud to be an Associate member of The British Institute of Professional Photography and The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers. I love photographing weddings and working with my clients and I believe my pictures show this".
